Creating opportunities for women in sailing
SASHA X SANNI
Sasha and Sanni have regulary bumped into each other during their own individual sailing projects in Lorient.
In the beginning of 2025 they decided to team up for the season.
It´s a perfect combination:
Sasha, a scientist with an engineering degree and a doctorate in physics.
And Sanni, a very passionate sailor, team worker and enthusiast!
THE PROJECT
LES DÉFERLANTES means "wave breakers" in French.
And it´s no understatement to say that Les Déferlantes will be making waves by being the first "real" women sailing team.

OUR VALUES
Sasha and Sanni share not only the same goals on the water but also when it comes to their responsibilities as athletes and women.
THIS RACE IS FEMALE and LES DÉFERLANTES both want to encourage and push women.
Specially in male dominated sectors.
That´s why sailing is the ideal platform to prove that:
